E. Daine Sharpe, P.C. is a personal injury law firm specializing in auto accidents, tractor trailer accidents and other types of accidents where our clients have been injured and need personal legal assistance. We strive to be different than the large firms and “TV lawyers,” who through massive billboard and television advertising receive literally thousands of calls and cases each week. It is our belief that each client that comes through our door deserves our personal attention and personal service. When it comes to handling your case, our firm has always believed in quality over quantity. In other words, we always seek to maximize the recovery in each and every case.
To me and my staff, you will not simply be known as a number on a file or in a computer. We will get know you and understand your needs and concerns and we will be available each and every day to meet with you or talk to you on the telephone when you are in need or have questions. We do not believe that the “TV lawyers” can give the thousands of people who contact them the same quality of personal attention and personal service that we can provide. It is simply not possible. We are not saying that these “TV lawyers” are not competent attorneys. What we are saying is that we try to be different than these firms and provide a personal level of service and get to know each and every one of our clients so that we can better serve their needs.
In 18 wheeler or tractor-trailer cases you definitely need a lawyer on your side and the sooner, the better. You can rest assured that the insurance company or the trucking company will immediately hire adjusters and private investigators to go to work on their behalf. They will try to contact witnesses and gather information and evidence to help them avoid responsibility for your accident and even try to put the blame on you.
In these types of cases, the attorney that you hire is critical. You need an experienced attorney to go to work for you as soon as possible. If you are injured or in the hospital and can’t come to our office, give us a call and we will come to you. You need an attorney who knows what to look for in a tractor-trailer accident. I have nearly twenty-five (25) years of experience in handling these types of cases.
In Alabama recovery can only be made in an auto accident by proving that the car accident was the fault of the other driver thereby proof is essential during a car accident case. Daine Sharpe knows the importance of identifying and interviewing witnesses andpolice officers.
Once liability is established in an auto accident case, the next step is to prove and determine the seriousness of the client’s injuries. Daine Sharpe has extensive contacts in the medical community to assist his clients in documenting the seriousness of their injury. Even in a so called “simple” car accident, the case can present legal issues to overcome.
Product liability law is the area of the law that determines liability and sets out compensation for victims of defective products. Typically, there are three types of product defects for which manufacturers and suppliers may be held responsible: design defects, manufacturing defects, and marketing defects.
Sometimes personal injury cases only involve minor injuries. Daine Sharpe will find that you may still be entitled to substantial monetary damages. Medical expenses, no matter how small they are, including hospital and doctor charges, prescriptions, physical therapy, mileage, etc. can be reimbursed. In addition, in some cases, punitive damages can be recovered to ensure that the extreme negligence that caused the injury is not repeated in the future causing personal injury to others.
